Chain
What began as an unbroken chain of gold,
Innocently hanging on a hook,
Is now a tarnished strand of brass in a gutter.
Oh, the stories it could tell,
How it was tangled,
How it was broken.
But its mouth is rusted shut,
And we are left only to guess.
As I pick it up,
And place it in my pocket,
I am reminded of [...]

Recipe for Adolescence
Ingredients:
3 cups peer pressure
1 quart depression
4 ounces morality
2 cups alcohol
1 cup sex
1 cup drugs
1 gallon insecurity
Directions:
Mix all ingredients in bowl. Preheat oven to 110 degrees farenheight. Bake for 13 years
Yield:
Makes 2 million American youths
Twisted
My life is routine
mundane
basic
Wake up, go wherever
Come home whenever.
Just waiting
for change
to come to me
Where’s the black
On this pure white tapestry?
But, as I take a few steps back,
I realize
My normal life is
Someone else’s change,
A twist in their story,
And as they watch with envious eyes,
I sit
And wait
For change.
What is that,
But wasting a life?

it changes
with every move
I make,
every step
I take.

is me,

Stellar Rainbow
Liquid diamonds flow from lush green branches,
Catching glimmering moonlight,
Catching flickering starlight.
The world is cleansed from its dreary day
With a lunar smile
And a stellar show
Clouds, dark as an evil heart,
Move away from the moon,
Fearing the stars
A calm blanket covers the earth,
Dyed by the light of night,
